At JPIS, communication is nurtured as an art. Students participate in Model United Nations Conferences, inter-school debates, elocution competitions, and creative writing events — with equal enthusiasm for English and Hindi expression.
Weekly assemblies are not routine gatherings — they are mini-festivals of performance, where dramatic skits, musical ensembles, and cultural expressions bring the school community together.
Dance: A Rhythm that shapes character
Dance at JPIS is a celebration of culture, individuality, and stage presence. Our students are trained in diverse styles — from classical Indian dance forms like Bharatnatyam and Kathak to Western ballet, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary. Our students have consistently earned accolades in inter-school, state, and national competitions, reflecting the rigor and artistic depth of our training. From Shiamak Davar Summer Funk Workshops to interschool contests to powerhouse performances in school assemblies, students learn professional choreography and present grand finales that are a feast of energy and elegance. We provide students with platforms to perform, innovate, and lead. Dance is not just a co-curricular domain — it is also offered as a full-fledged subject within the IB Diploma Programme, with students exploring dance theory, choreography, performance, and cultural contexts. Many of our alumni have pursued dance professionally, with their foundations laid right here.
Drama: Stories That Stir, Characters That Stay
Dramatics at JPIS is theatre with a voice. Whether it’s Shakespearean tragedies, Indian mythological epics, or contemporary socio-political theatre, our productions are bold, meaningful, and often choreographed as full-length theatrical spectacles.
Our Senior and Junior Annual Functions are large-scale productions showcasing dramatic adaptations in both Hindi and English, often woven with music, dance, and multimedia effects. These events are iconic in the school calendar, with student actors, directors, and designers taking charge under the guidance of expert mentors.
We are also proud of our collaboration with the International Drama Academy, which trains students in script work, improvisation, expression, and stagecraft. Drama performances are a regular feature in our weekly school assemblies, keeping the cultural spirit alive and vibrant across grades.
